From the busy streets of Chicago to the playgrounds of Loveland, Colo., concrete is the bond that ties communities together. Where we once knew concrete to be a dull, grey material used for its durability and strength, we now know it can also be the centerpiece attraction. Decorative concrete was the solution in two very different scenarios: one city’s congested downtown district, and the need for a retaining wall at another city’s new park. By adding color and design, concrete was the answer.
