In order for architects, engineers and specification professionals involved in the construction and maintenance of industrial manufacturing facilities to better understand these triggers, Flowcrete Americas has announced the launch of a new AIA registered CES seminar entitled, ‘How To Avoid Industrial Floor Failure’.

This seminar will explore the specification process as well as the most common manifestations of floor failure including delamination, blistering and cracking, all of which can originate from manual errors made at specification stage, while preparing the substrate, during mixing, throughout installation or even the care and maintenance routine provided by the client post installation.

The seminar will aim to identify suitable flooring materials that meet the service criteria found in a wide range of industrial manufacturing environments as well as consult on correct substrate preparation and application procedures in order to minimize the risk of failure.

Flowcrete Americas’ Architectural Sales Representative, Richard Kroger, said: “Our new seminar has been created to provide architects with a greater understanding of the different polymer flooring technologies available to industrial manufacturing clients and their specific performance benefits”.

“Protective polymer flooring is becoming increasingly popular on account of its ability to comply with Good Manufacturing Principles and Food Safety management programs mandated by the USDA / FDA. The seminar aims to educate specifiers on best practices and validation procedures for resinous flooring installations”. Flowcrete Americas AIA CES Lunch & Learn Seminar Program offers architects, engineers and design / build firms the opportunity to learn, explore and discuss specific challenges, innovations and best practice guidelines relating to the specification of resinous flooring systems on both new-build and renovation construction projects.

Flowcrete Americas delivers on-site AIA CES training seminars that offer AIA members 1 LU to contribute to annual credits. These seminars are available nationwide to those working in the field of floor specification.
