The International Packaged Concrete Manufacturers Association (IPCMA) an international group of companies dedicated to producing, packaging and marketing concrete and mortar mixes, unanimously voted to donate its remaining funds to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) at the last formal meeting in Austin, Texas.
Founded on Feb. 1, 1961 the non-profit concrete industry association was created to promote the use of packaged cement based products and other specialty packaged products and provide coordination in the handling of promotional and technical advancements of common concern to the industry.
The association's goal was to foster high professional standards, ethical practices, and a spirit of goodwill among members, the public, and related industries. During its 56 year history, IPCMA membership exceeded 100 associated and affiliated companies. More recently however, due to industry changes and market consolidations, the IPCMA decided to dissolve itself at the final October meeting and to donate all remaining association funds to DAV.
“DAV is sincerely grateful to the Board of Directors of the IPCMA for creating a legacy of support for our nation’s injured heroes and their families,” says Barry Jesinoski, DAV’s CFO. “We will put their donation to work by helping veterans get jobs, receive their earned benefits and get transportation to the medical care they deserve.”
