ACPA Names Operator Safety Award Winner

With more than 100 operators nominated to win the Operator Safety Award for concrete pump operators, it's easy to see why Jerry Brooke's chances of having his name selected as the winner were pretty slim. But after haring Brooke's attitude toward safety, it's easy to understand why his employer, Pioneer Concrete Pumping, Atlanta, decided to nominate him. Brooke won the award, co-sponsored by the American Concrete Pumping Association and The Aberdeen Group, after his name was drawn from all nominated operators. ACPA member companies were allowed to nominate one ACPA certified operator who had an ongoing commitment to jobsite safety and who had a current ACPA operator certification.
