ESPN analyst, former NFL coach and motivational speaker Herman “Herm” Edwards will be the keynote speaker at the opening brunch of the National Concrete Masonry Association’s (NCMA) International Concrete Exposition 2018 (ICON EXPO 2018) Machinery and Equipment Show on Feb. 9 at 9 a.m. at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Edwards’ experience in building relationships and striving for his goals will energize the audience.
“We are excited to have Herm open our inaugural industry trade show,” said Pat Dubbert, NCMA tradeshow committee chair. “His ideas on how to establish a vision and the steps to execute it will be motivating for all those participating in ICON EXPO.”
As a cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1978, Edwards is best known for recovering a fumble by Giants quarterback Joe Pisarcik on a play dubbed the Miracle at the Meadowlands, resulting in an Eagles win over the Giants in the final seconds of the game. Following his playing career, Edwards coached several NFL teams before joining ESPN in 2009 as a pro football analyst.
ICON EXPO 2018 is the only tradeshow dedicated solely to the manufactured concrete masonry and hardscape industry. ICON EXPO 2018 will include 15 hours of show time that will encompass educational programs, plant tours, hands-on demonstrations and social events. Visit the ICON EXPO 2018 website to see all the details. ICON EXPO 2018 will be held in conjunction with NCMA’s Annual Convention, Feb. 6-8, and the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute’s Annual Meeting, Feb. 11-14.
