ORLANDO, FL, (February 3, 2015) – VHB, a team of engineers, scientists, planners, and designers with national experience, was selected by the City of Haines City to provide professional services for the city's Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

VHB will provide environmental monitoring and reporting of soils, hydrology, and vegetation for the city’s Water Use Permit (WUP) and will conduct the environmental permitting for the Lake Eva Dredging Project. These services are necessary for Haines City to meet the environmental conditions of its WUP and to keep the city in good standing with the Southwest Florida Water Management District. The contract is a one-year contract with the option to renew for two additional years.

VHB Project Manager, Ronnie Van Fleet, PWS, has led previous assignments with Haines City and has an extensive knowledge base of the city since the VHB team has provided similar services to Haines City since 2006. He also brings experience managing complex water resource projects with monitoring, maintenance, and permit compliance for wetlands, lakes, stormwater ponds, surface water systems, littoral shelves, mitigation sites, and natural areas.
