Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR), a leading provider of civil engineering, environmental and surveying services to public agencies across Illinois and surrounding states, today announced it has acquired the Mount Carmel, Ill.-based firm Lamac Engineering. Joining forces with Lamac greatly expands the services offered to its clients in northern, central and southern Illinois.
“This investment supports HLR’s vision to be able to provide more comprehensive solutions to our customers,” said David Hinkston, HLR’s CEO. “The acquisition of Lamac is consistent with our long-term plans to grow HLR through strategic acquisitions.”
Involved in all areas of civil, municipal, transportation and environmental engineering, Lamac Engineering has worked with urban and rural entities, as well as local, state and federal agencies, for more than 75 years. In addition to extending HLR’s geographic footprint to the southernmost part of Illinois and Indiana, Lamac brings additional expertise in the energy and water/wastewater engineering markets.

Under terms of the acquisition, Lamac will retain its name and operate as Lamac Engineering, a division of Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. In addition to Gill, Lamac partners John Acree and Austin Ridgely are now partners in HLR.
