Hohmann and Barnard Inc., a manufacturer of reinforcement, anchoring systems, and accessories for masonry and stone, has been acquired by MiTek Inc. the world's leading supplier of engineered connector products, equipment, software, and services for the building components industry. Ron Hohmann Sr. will continue to serve as chairman and CEO and Ron Hohmann Jr. will remain company president under the new arrangement.
Commenting on the action, CEO Hohmann said, “The combination of H&B and MiTek will allow us to better serve our customers through new innovative products, increased manufacturing capacity, expanded markets into residential construction, and geographic expansion, including overseas.”
Hohmann & Barnard, based in Long Island, N. Y., will operate as a separate subsidiary of MiTek.
