More than 250 exhibitors will be displaying products, services, machinery, and technologies for the stone industry. Nearly 70 product categories will be on display, including cleaning/maintenance, tools, granite, marble, stone, mortars and grouts, safety, software, and sealants/adhesives.
The show floor will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 10, and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Nov. 11. There will be a number of live demonstrations showing the latest stone installation techniques scattered throughout the three-day show.
The following descriptions look at just a few of the many items that will be on display.
Masonry splitters provide clean cut
The portable QS-700 GT overhead masonry splitters feature Hydrasplit dry wedge chisel equalization systems for optimal chisel positioning. The 1½-in. wide chisels provide excellent contact with uneven stone surfaces, and cut straight and clean lines. The 70-ton cutting force system has a 36-in. throat width opening, a 24-in. chisel width area, and a 12-in. cut height opening.
Laser designed for bridge saw uses
The model CL-830B laser is configured just for bridge saw applications. The product has 30-mw of laser power, and delivers the best line quality with its patented “Linear lens” and state of the art “Powershift” technology. It comes with an easy-to-mount and adjust bracket and a power supply that wires directly into the panel. The laser works with both 110 and 220 power.
Granite comes in many shapes and finishes
Mahogany granite can be produced into a variety of complicated shapes and finishes, such as this countertop installed in the governor of South Dakota's mansion. The company distributes monuments nationwide, and exports rough block around the world.
Laser system engraves stone and brick
A line of computer-controlled laser systems engraves stone, brick, pavers, quarry tile, ceramic tile, glass blocks, marble, granite, and many other natural and man-made substrates. The lasers are ideal for personalizing brick, tile, and stone to recognize an individual or commemorate an event; or for creating home and patio décor accents.
Laser combines technology with art
A laser engraving system combines technology with art to create designs in materials such as concrete, stone, tile, marble, and glass. The machines also cut veneer, acrylic, paper, and more. Applications include floor installations, countertops, floor tile inlays, decorative moldings, company logo inlays, stencils, and monuments.
Recycling permits continual water reuse
A wastewater recycling system used in the stone industry provides zero-discharge solutions by filtering influent from saws, polishers, and CNC equipment down to below 1 micron, and then routes the clean water back for reuse in the fabrication process. These automated systems offer flow measuring and monitoring and reporting functions, as well as user-friendly graphic displays.
Pen cleans and restores grout
Grout Ink easily cleans and restores damaged grout around stone. This non-toxic water based formula has low odor, is non-toxic, and is long lasting. The pen's coverage is about 160 ft. It is available in white.
Switch plates look like granite or marble
Granique switch plates simulate granite, marble, and other stones. Matching outlet covers are included to hide receptacles and attain a totally finished look. The company also produces a line of natural stone and tumbled stone switch plates.
Splitter generates 50 tons of force
The Stone Mason M-50 is equipped with a fully hydraulic cutting system and power unit to supply up to 50 tons of cutting force. The system effortlessly cuts stone, brick, concrete, cinder block, and marble. Its floating hydraulic teeth conform to the shape of the stone for a clean, even split.
Limestone veneer serves residential/ commercial uses
The Vanderbilt Classic is solid full-bed limestone sawn veneer that offers a strong, clean look at about half the price of custom cut stone. It uses traditional brick ties and is easily trimmed onsite for corner, door, and window openings. Showcasing light buff and gray shadowing, the product comes in large standard sizes, as well as custom sizes for commercial and residential construction.
Sheet membranes protect decorative surfaces
Sheet membranes are used over suitable concrete and wood substrates to protect decorative surfaces from cracking, for waterproofing, and to reduce floor to floor impact noise. The composites are manufactured from chlorinated polyethylene with non-woven fiber laminated to both sides. The sheets are thin, flexible, lightweight, and easy to install.
