The Associated General Contractors of America will unveil a new national recovery plan for the U.S. construction industry and release a new city-by-city analysis of construction job losses since the beginning of the downturn during a media conference call. The recovery plan will outline measures that must be taken within the next twelve months to jump start declining private sector construction markets and significantly boost construction employment.

Stephen Sandherr, the association’s chief executive officer, will outline the recovery plan and comment on the new city-by-city construction employment figures. The association’s chief economist, Ken Simonson and construction contractors will also be available on the call to answer questions from the media.
