At the 2017 Annual Convention, the NCMA Education and Research Foundation approved funding the Architecture Student Design Competition at Penn State University. This year's competition theme was Edifice for the Senses: Food Truck Docs + Performance Platform.
The competition involved students visiting the proposed site location in New York City, attending and partaking in a handson masonry seminar at Pennsylvania College of Technology, and designing a unit that would meet the project's needs.
