2017 Ready-mix Production is 2% Higher than 2016

U.S. ready-mixed concrete producers manufactured 31.2 million cubic yards of ready-mixed concrete in July, or 3.4% more than the 30.1 million yards manufacturedin July 2016, according to the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, based on information from the U.S. Geological Survey.

Ready-mix production for January-July 2017 totaled 195.5 million yards, or 2% more than the 191.6 million yards for the same period in 2016.

U.S. ready-mix producers manufactured 342.8 million yards in all of 2016. The U.S. record for ready-mixed production is 458.3 million yards in 2005. The least annual production during the recent Great Recession was 257.4 million yards in 2010.
