This sounds like a neat idea: a speaker system made out of concrete blocks. Studio Dashdot inventor Daniel Ballou's concept separates the working parts from the heavy parts to reduce shipping costs. It's a sort of DIY kit that requires users to purchase the missing piece–the concrete cinder blocks. Cinder blocks have a naturally low resonance, which makes it the perfect medium to house the sound system.
