CEMEX is supplying more than 80,000 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete to the new Turnberry Ocean Club Residences, a luxury residential development currently under construction in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla.

CEMEX and contractor Capform completed the pouring of the 9,000 cubic-yard mat foundation in Dec. 2017, pouring at a rate of more than 600 cubic yards per hour. The remaining 71,000 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete will be used for the building’s structure and will be supplied to the project through the anticipated completion date of late 2019. CEMEX will provide close to 20 different specialty mixes for the structure to meet building specifications, and by the end of the project, CEMEX will have supplied enough concrete to be used to create a standard five-foot wide, 4-inch thick sidewalk that extends the length of the Florida Turnpike from Miami to Orlando.

“CEMEX is proud to contribute to this iconic project which will add to South Florida’s already impressive skyline,” said CEMEX President Ignacio Madridejos, “Our expansive network of ready-mix resources in South Florida uniquely positions our team to meet the needs of any project for our customers.”

Once complete, Turnberry Ocean Club will deliver 154 luxury residences with three, four, five, and six-bedroom floorplans each with extraordinary flow through views of the ocean and the bay. The entire development will offer more than 70,000 square feet of private state-of-the-art amenities including a three-story, $100 million Sky Club located 300 hundred feet above sea level.

Turnberry Ocean Club Residences is one of several ambitious and transformative developments underway by Turnberry Associates in South Florida, a market in which the family-owned business has demonstrated an unwavering commitment and has made significant contributions to overall growth and prosperity for more than five decades.
