The acquisition will expand Nordco’s industrial business unit that already is a market leader with its Shuttlewagon rail car movers. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
New Century, Kan.-based Royal Tractor has been a leader in the design and manufacturing of heavy lift trucks and specialized hauling equipment for 46 years. Jim Hardwick, CEO of Royal Tractor, will remain with the company to assist with the integration.

Royal Tractor’s operations will be moved into Nordco’s Grandview, MO facility.
