Grafton joins PCI with more than 30 years’ experience in the precast, prestressed concrete industry, including most recently with Oldcastle Precast.

“Jon’s experience in transportation and with precast paving work will be a great advantage to PCI members by expanding their knowledge with his resources,” said Bob Risser, PCI’s president and chief executive officer. “His leadership and experience with producer plants will also ensure that PCI is focused on their needs. We welcome Jon to our team and look forward to his contributions.”

At Oldcastle Precast, Grafton, as the manager of business development, worked to develop design-build projects using precast, prestressed concrete, and played a part in identifying and developing new products that could be marketed through their 90+ plants located throughout the United States and Canada. Grafton’s responsibilities at Pomeroy Corporation as president, general manager, and plant manager included managing all areas of operation in the company’s prestressing facilities, including safety, quality control, estimating, engineering, business development and production operations. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (civil/structural) from the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Grafton has been a member of several PCI committees, most recently serving as chair of the Transportation Activities Council and on the PCI Board of Directors. He will serve as the staff liaison to the Business Performance Council where his precast operations experience will be a great benefit in leading productivity, erector, and safety efforts at PCI. Grafton’s background and experience will allow him to assist on transportation related activities as well.

"It is both an honor and privilege to join the amazing staff at PCI,” said Grafton. “I am committed to using my 38 years of industry experience, and developing new products to assist the producer members in becoming successful and profitable."
