The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) and state affiliate partners announced the annual ConcreteWorks Northeast conference will be held October 23-24 at the MGM Springfield Casino in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Highlights of the conference include a “State of the Ready Mixed Concrete Industry” report by Robert Garbini, President of the NRMCA, "Exterior Flatwork Failures & NEW Finisher Certification" presentation by Henry Prenger of LaFarge Cement, and a presentation on “Mix Design Technology and Construction for Concrete Intersections” by Bill Cuerdon of the American Concrete Paving Association (ACPA).
The two-day conference costs $175 per person and covers all sessions. Topics include codes and specifications, insulated concrete forms, and building partnerships with contractors and engineers for projects. A Mobile Concrete Laboratory is available for tours, provided by and staffed with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) personnel.
