Ready-mix production in the U.S. totaled 164.3 million cubic yards in the first half of 2017, or 1.7% ahead of the 161.5 million yards produced in the same period last year.
Production in June 2017 totaled 34.3 million yard, which was 0.3% more than 34.3 million yards manufactured in June 2016, according to NRMCA, based on data from the U.S. Geological Survey.
U.S. ready-mix producers manufactured 342.8 million yards in all of 2016. The U.S. record for ready-mixed production is 458.3 million yards in 2005. The least annual production during the recent Great Recession was 257.4 million yards in 2010.
