The virtual-reality technology that's transforming entertainment and gaming is now beginning to make inroads in computer-aided drafting and building information modeling. The most recent entry in the field is Bulgaria-based Chaos Group with a beta version of its V-Ray for Unreal, which Chaos says can be used to create photo-realistic imagery and animation in architecture as well as other fields.
