He's no mason, but Nathan Sawaya is a master with bricks–Legos that is. Sawaya is the artist behind the Lego Oscar statuettes you might have seen at the Academy Awards ceremony recently. His statuettes were give to celebrity attendees including Oprah WInfrey and Best Actress in a Supporting Role nominee Emma Stone. The New York-based Sawaya's work has been seen exhibited around the nation including at the New York Public Library and the Kimball Art Museum in Park City, Utah.Other pieces that he's done include the Statue of Liberty, complete with a pedestal; a human-sized Elvis; and a giant bear.
