Don’t miss watching concrete professionals at work as they exhibit their skills and techniques at the World of Concrete’s 2014 Artistry in Decorative Concrete Demonstrations in Las Vegas. Capachione intends to produce a unique artistic design that uses different levels of polishing, sanding, and staining.

Shawn Cislo

Cislo’s project will demonstrate dynamic 3D effects created using a pigmented epoxy resin flooring system.

Gill plans to demonstrate several ways of incorporating logo designs into a concrete floor, including a terrazzo style with multicolor infill, a shotblast relief example, and a polished epoxy resin design.

Swarek, whose Buddha figure was a feature of last year’s winning project, will create a monumental replica of Rio de Janeiro’s famous Christ the Redeemer statue.

Turley will use various staining and texturing techniques to create colorful concrete furniture and a seamless terrazzo-like residential floor.

Troy Vancil
Boulder Polishing, Salina, Kan.
A 2013 Concrete Surfaces Polished Concrete Award winner, Vancil will use various etching and polishing techniques to produce a cubic representation of the World of Concrete logo, in honor of WOC’s 40th anniversary.
