In a year when the housing industry continues to suffer and commercial construction has experienced slowdowns in some parts of the country, 85,000 people visited the World of Concrete (WOC) in Las Vegas. Of these attendees, 9000 signed up to attend the seminar program, learning from experts covering a wide range of subjects. Approximately 10,000 people visited the Artistry in Decorative Concrete demonstrations in the outside Decorative Pavilion, including general contractors, concrete contractors, decorative contractors, and others. One person came back eight times to watch the progress as 12 decorative contractors from all around the United States demonstrated their creative talents.
This year, Artistry in Decorative Concrete demonstrated diamond polished concrete, custom-stamped concrete, an integral cast-in-place sink and countertop overlay cement, precast concrete, and handcarved rockwork.
