The Illinois Ready Mixed Concrete Association would like to invite you to attend a Concrete 101 Program on March 24 in Elmhurst Ill., at the ACI Illinois Training Facility. Concrete 101 is a great program for all employees at a concrete company to learn all about concrete.
Topics range from what admixtures and cementitious materials go into a concrete mix to how to test concrete to what causes some of the concrete problems we see on our projects. Concrete 101 is designed to educate contractors on the proper methods for ordering, placing, curing, and sealing concrete along with discussing some of the common issues they see on their projects like scaling, pop outs, and plastic shrinkage cracks.
Concrete 101 will also help concrete producers, engineers, and contractors have a better understanding of what is involved in producing, testing, placing, and designing pervious concrete, roller compacted concrete, and concrete overlays.
