This project invloved beutification of an existing space, in the Fisherman's Warf area of San Francisco. The architects wanted to create a mordern space using the existing concrete and also intigrate a whimsical graphic into the final finish. The PolishedCrete team employed an artistic technique to achieve the graphic in an abraided finish, withing the polished concrete. To achieve this the installation team used a Skudo membrane and converted it to an artistic graphic - then sand blasted the polished surface ever so lightly - creating a beautiful frayed edge of the graphic.
