We're having trouble in our post tensioning operations in controlling rusting and spalling of concrete patches over strand ends. Is there a coating that will help?

It is our understanding that coatings used for this purpose are somewhat costly and not always effective. Preco Industries markets inexpensive polymer plugs which can be attached to the strand before concrete is placed, and which melt away when the strand is burned off, leaving a neat recessed area which can be filled with fast-setting grout. Special sizes can be produced to order.
