New Specifications for Structural Supports on Highway Signs, Lighting, and Traffic Signals
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) has released new design specifications, LRFD Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires, and Traffic Signals, first edition, developed by the AASHTO Highways Subcommittee on Bridges and Structures. The specifications employ the Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) methodology, and are applicable to the structural design of supports for highway signs, luminaires, and traffic signals.
