The brainchild of our Founder, Richard M. "Dick" Seibert, and born of necessity in the mid-1980's, Wind-lock® was created in the early years of the burgeoning EIFS industry. Although there was certainly no shortage of smart, innovative and entrepreneurial minds successfully pioneering this fantastic "new" exterior wall system, there was a void for professional-grade, specialty tools and accessories to enable contractors and builders to properly and efficiently apply these systems.

From "Your Hardware Store for EIFS" in the early 1990's, to our current tagline, "What You Need. When You Need it," Wind-lock has always focused on product selection, a fun, enthusiastic, professional culture, and a true company-wide passion for thrilled customers. In fact, these qualities have been the cornerstone for our ability and willingness to successfully adapt and evolve over the years. We have diversified our offerings to include ICF and SIP tools/accessories in the mid-1990’s, spray foam and weatherization in the late 1990’s, Black Lab Apparel (and Promotions) in 2001, Stealth GFRG ceiling access panels shortly thereafter and Drywall tools/accessories in 2010.

In April of 2012, we opened our Distribution Center in Reno, NV, which has allowed Wind-lock to both better serve our customers' delivery needs, as well as extend live customer service hours to 8 AM – 8 PM Eastern, Monday – Friday. We supplement our 2 D.C’s (HQ in Reading, PA) with a strategic 3 PL warehouse in Jacksonville, FL. We also have dedicated sales and sales support staff working from various locations throughout the continental USA.

From our humble and limited start, to our ever-growing array of offerings and technologies, we continue to strive to improve and stay ahead of market demands.
