Large-Scale Residential Expansion

The stair and elevator cores on The Ohio State University residential project are being climbed with heavy¬duty Imperial wall formwork on the climbing platform KLK 230. The Imperial clamp system is designed for safety and efficiency in construction with a load capacity of 2,025 psf. The largest 12x8 panels provide a forming area of 96 square feet and have no top or bottom, achieving a harmonious tie-hole and joint pattern.

Work flow is kept smooth thanks to the formwork’s all¬plastic facing alkus. It ensures a constant high¬quality concrete finish from the first pour to the last, first time, every time. Columns rely on the light¬weight, hand set MevaLite aluminum wall system which is easy for one worker to set up by hand. It, too, is equipped with the same all¬plastic facing that is standard in all MEVA products across the globe and has proven its quality now since 2000.

The Imperial panels are easily and safely joined using the MEVA clamp that has no losable parts and aligns the panels with only a few hammer blows.
