After pouring, Cameron-Reilly crews used a Somero Enterprises S840 laser screed to achieve a flat, level floor.
After laser-screeding and before initial bull float, crews broadcast terrazzo rock on the freshly placed slab using an industrial fertilizer spreader.
Hand-seeding the edges with terrazzo rock (you can see the concrete placing crew and laser screed in the distance).
Initial cut of floor using grinding equipment.
Refining the floor using grinding equipment. Crews applied Silex LLC’s Armour Hydro-Hard hydrophobic densifier and Silex Seal colloidal silica stain guard.
When Salk Middle School was rebuilt, Cameron-Reilly was involved with design, planning, and construction. Collaboration with general contractor Garco Construction continued through the polished floor’s unveiling.
