Powered by a live PTO, the FP5's electrically heated 5.1-cu.-yd. hopper keeps asphalt pliable without the potential safety hazards associated with propane or heating oil. An indirect electric-heating band evenly warms tack coating without damaging emulsion; the self-cleaning tack wand minimizes clogging. The operator accesses all components from the back or curbside without stepping into traffic; to avert back strain, a hydraulic lift platform raises and lowers the pavement breaker and plate compactor (or optional single-drum roller). The material chute can be replaced with an optional swing auger system.
