Concrete pumping has brought major innovations to the entire concrete industry over the last four decades. So it was fitting for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers to induct Friedrich Schwing Sr. (1909-92), founder of Schwing Gmb, into its Hall of Fame. Schwing held more than 100 patents relating to innovations in material handling and construction equipment. Schwing’s invention, a method of concrete pumping, dramatically speeded placement.
