HAAS stands for Houston Area Acid Staining, a company Waxali started 10 years ago. Since then she has included overlay cement, epoxy coatings, dye staining, and stamped concrete work in her offerings.

Waxali created three murals on her slab: an under-the-sea, an outer space, and a sunset scene. She accomplished this by using torn paper, buckets as masks, crushed glass, metallic powders, and coins to limit the penetration of water and solvent dye stains applied with a paint brush or spray gun. Sometimes, she also spread color around with compressed air.
