To make this 12-foot, 750-pound conference table look softer, Surfacing Solutions started with a foam form to allow for smooth lines. The concrete needed a feminine look, so the foam was shaped to look like a 4-inch bull nose, but with only a 3/4 radius for edges, then shaped to curve in 4 inches along the length of the table. Large beach glass was broadcast into the foam form. The glass actually was pushed into the foam mold and the mold held the glass in place during vibrating. It was later ground down and polished out to show the beautiful glass and mix aggregate. Time to complete the conference table was three weeks.
