Each series of diamond tooling pads is suited for a particular hardness of concrete. For example, the Gold Series metal bond diamonds are a very soft bond used to grind very hard to hard concrete floors, and are available as low as a 16 grit for exposing large aggregate or up to a 300 grit prior to moving to a resin bond for final polishing.
The Quick Cut hybrids are the transition diamond as you move from metal to resin bond. In some applications, these diamonds can be used as the initial cut and to eliminate 40 and 80 grit metal bond scratches.
