CS Unitec’s new MEGA HIPPO portable mixing station features an integrated dust extraction port and hinged canister lid to reduce dust and splatter when mixing compounds.
When connected to a dust extraction vacuum, the HIPPO creates a cleaner, safer work environment for contractors, helping to comply with OSHA regulations (in addition to personal PPE). Some materials that benefit from the HIPPO’s dust collection capabilities are polymer self-leveling products and engineered concrete.
The mixing station’s hinged lid completely covers both the bucket and removable liner, creating a seal to not only contain dust, but also to prevent splatter during mixing – further contributing to a cleaner jobsite.
If non-dust-generating products are being mixed, such as cementitious urethane, epoxy self-levelers and slurries, the HIPPO’s lid can be removed for ease of operation.
Multiple batches of compounds can be mixed easier and faster when using its removable liner and rimless bucket system, boosting productivity and lowering labor costs. Consecutive batches can be mixed without downtime for cleaning the bucket and alternating liners allows mixing without cross contamination. The resilient, pliable liner is easily removed and cleaned and extends bucket life.
The MEGA HIPPO’s 15-Amp/1800-Watt, 2-speed motor is optimal for mixing cement screeds, overlay, underlay, textured coatings, sealants, adhesives and other self-leveling compounds. The PMH80F-DC’s Easy-roll Trolley and balanced Easy-tilt cradle allow one person to mix, transport and accurately place up to 23 gallons (or 6-bag batches/350 lbs.) of material at the same time, reducing physical effort and covering larger surfaces more quickly and efficiently.
The mixing station is supplied with two 9” dia. Mixing paddles designed with a special helix ribbon and side bars. Equipped with heavy-duty locking casters, the MEGA HIPPO moves smoothly and freely on level floors and wheel covers ensure the casters remain free of screed splatter. Optional air-filled tires are available for uneven or rough areas.
