Replacing the steel blade guard to magnesium decreases the saws overall weight, which helps increase its power-to weight ratio. The new guard also increases cutting depth to up to 6.1" (155 mm). The blade’s stepless adjustment helps increases efficiency by making it easier to change cutting position.
The improved water system is another big update to the power cutter. The updates include blade guard nozzles, enlarged water housing and a brass connector for incoming water. These parts work together to contribute to their liability and efficiency of the cutter.
