Honda Power Equipment is introducing the all-new EU7000is portable generator – adding greater power performance to its popular Super Quiet Series. Replacing the EU6500is model, the new generator delivers more of what Honda generator customers have come to expect from Honda: fuel efficiency, clean power output, quiet operation and longer running times in a portable package. Ideal for a host of residential and commercial applications, the Honda EU7000is incorporates electronic fuel injection into its design which results in greater fuel efficiency and longer operating times than the model it replaces. What’s more, the all-new generator incorporates a convenient push button electric start switch. The EU7000is marks the further evolution of the Honda Super Quiet Series of generators through its continued development in the areas of output, noise, size and fuel consumption. Producing 7,000 volt amperes (VA) - or watts - of power, the EU7000is is the perfect solution to a variety of power needs.

The EU7000is is equally applicable for home backup, on a worksite, campsite or for RV camping and tailgating due to its excellent portability and compact design. The EU7000is has a dry weight of 262 pounds – only two pounds heavier than the Honda EU6500is generator. The new model also is equipped with a 5.1 gallon gas tank and can operate for six hours per thankful of gas at rated load or an estimated 18 hours at ¼ load. By utilizing a separate triple chamber construction, a centralized intake/exhaust system and the Eco-ThrottleTM design, the EU7000is achieves a noise level of approximately 60 dB at rated load – achieving super quiet operation. Perhaps the most basic, yet important features of interest to consumers who are purchasing a generator are the amount and the quality of power produced by the unit. The EU7000is offers 7000 VA of enhanced commercial grade electricity with a wave form distortion factor of less than 2.5 percent. This translates into a generous amount of clean, usable power available for a wide range of residential and commercial applications.

In addition, the new EB7000is incorporates the Honda inverter technology, designed to power computers and sensitive electronic equipment that demand consistent electrical current with a stable sine wave or signal. Generators with this technology provide cleaner current to power electronic equipment in remote locations with less possibility of interrupted service or damage to the equipment. In addition, inverter technology substantially reduces weight and noise. By eliminating the standard alternator, Honda inverter models weigh 50 percent less and are one-third smaller in size than traditional generators. The power behind the innovative EU7000is is the Honda GX390 engine. As is the case with all Honda engines, the GX390 provides low-emission, 4-cycle power to the unit. An overhead valve (OHV) system in the GX390 incorporates the latest, most advanced engine technologies in a small package. With the GX390, the Honda EU7000is provides an economical, quiet and efficient powerplant to compliment the generator’s new technology and advanced design.
