The American Shotcrete Association (ASA) has announced a call for entries for the 2018 ASA Outstanding Shotcrete Project Awards program. These awards confirm and demonstrate the exceptional advantages of shotcrete placement of concrete. The winners will be recognized at ASA’s Annual Awards Banquet held in conjunction with the 2019 Shotcrete Convention and Technology Conference that will take place Feb. 25-26, 2019, at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort, Fernandina Beach, Fla.
“Our awards program recognizes the exemplary uses of shotcrete in the construction industry,” said Charles Hanskat, ASA Executive Director. “Each year, the projects submitted for consideration showcase shotcrete’s benefits of sustainability, creativity, efficiency and flexibility. We’re excited to see what the 2019 project submittals will entail.”
Awards are bestowed in the following six categories: architecture/new construction, infrastructure, international projects, pool & recreational, rehabilitation & repair and underground. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 1, 2018.
