The Briscoe Carpenter Livestock Center is located in Dallas' historic Fair Park; the first new construction project in the park since the 1960s. Designed by GFF Architects, the 55,000 square-foot building reflects the unique style of the original Fair Park design, with a slight modern take. The center features a stepped-floor auction arena with animal holding areas, exhibit space, dining areas, and year-round offices for State Fair staff on the second floor. Due to the various uses the space gets, the owners wanted to refresh the look of the buildings lobby with a polished concrete finish.

Texas Bomanite was chosen to complete the work on the ground floor common areas. Over 9,690 square feet of concrete flooring were treated with the Bomanite Custom Polishing VitraFlor System. The Vitraflor system consists of initial grinding, chemical hardening with Bomanite Stabilizer Pro, and honing and polishing with protection from Bomanite VitraFinish. The floor was polished to a 1,500 grit with large exposed aggregates.

The polishing job adds style and interest to this building's lobby while still adhering to the State Fair's historical charm.
