The Moscone Convention Center is one of the Bay Area’s larger event centers, found in the midst of the busy streets of San Francisco, California. The vastly accommodating lobby is surrounded by tall windows which allow the natural light to bounce perfectly off of the polished concrete found inside.
Spanning the entirety of the open lobby, the polished concrete exposes fine aggregates and is finished at a medium gloss level. Materials used for the project include Central Concrete and HD Supply White Cap.
The floor displays alternating bands of dye color separated by decorative sawcuts. The selection of polished concrete to complete the interior floors of this project was obvious as the durability and low maintenance needed to upkeep the high traffic area is incomparable. The surface beneath the millions of feet over the years will represent both natural beauty and dependability.
