Dancer Concrete Design was tasked with polishing the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership office located on the ninth floor of the 1st Source Center Building.
The main challenge they faced was getting all the equipment onto the ninth floor, including a 32-inch grinder, and being able to maneuver inside. The original concrete, a mix between Class B and C aggregate, was poured in 1989 and required a substantial amount of patching due to its age. They used Tru PC from Rapid Set, a self-leveling topping, for the patches and a custom grout coat to fill in small pin holes. A gray dye was chosen to replace the cream finish naturally present to help blend the patching with the original concrete.
