The Kodak Co. a long-time fixture in Rochester, N.Y., vacated more than 2 million square feet of space. One of the buildings had more than 235,000 square feet of well-worn concrete flooring to be used for a new tenant, Thermal Fisher.
The floor was is rough shape, requiring concrete, crack, and joint repairs, along with polishing. The final product was to be an industrial polish to a medium grit on a very fast-pace schedule. To finish the project on time, the contractor, The MJA Company, rented a three-head ride-on Spyder machine to supplement their SASE walk-behind grinders. Work was completed on schedule to the complete satisfaction of both the developer and the client.
