Stone tiles and ½ inches of thin-set had to be removed with a shaver in order to get to bare concrete. The concrete was then ground to expose large river rock, RetroPlate was applied and the concrete was polished. Grout was used to fill excessive pitting and hairline cracks. HTC 800 grinders were used for grinding and polishing and attached to T8600 Ermator Dust Collectors to keep the surrounding offices and entryway free of dust during project. Coordination between tile removal and concrete grinding and polishing was critical to keep project on schedule.
