86-ton transporter

Self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT) have been used for three decades to move preassembled bridge sections into place. The SPMT “Light” is designed for smaller payloads of up to 86 tons. Each 242x97-in. module can be mechanically coupled side-by-side or end-to-end and equipped with a hydraulic lifting system. The transporter’s Deutz diesel engine TCD 3.6 meets Tier 4i emissions requirements. Available in North America through Rigging Gear Sales Inc. (Illinois), Precision Enterprise Inc.
