Tex-Cote 300 Bridge Cote (acrylic co-polymer) and XL-70 W Bridge Cote (epoxy-acrylate resin) are water-based, one-coat, high-build systems that reduce the cost of rubbing, grouting and sacking of concrete, help minimize surface irregularities, and don’t support fungus or mildew. Tex-Cote 300 must be applied on properly finished surfaces; XL-70 W can be used on uncured or damp concrete. Both are available in smooth, sand, fine, and coarse textures as well as standard state and federal shade colors.
The 17 Street Causeway Bridge in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was coated with with XL-70 W when it opened to traffic in 2002 and recoated with Tex-Cote 300 in 2014.
