The deadline to have all concrete placed on the Oroville Dam's main spillway is Nov. 1 and the project remains on track, according to the Department of Water Resources. The upper chute of the spillway is 75% complete. The uppermost 730 feet of the chute will feature 150 erosion-resistant concrete slabs and 50 concrete walls, of which 108 slabs and 14 walls have been completed.

Remaining work on the main spillway after the deadline will include dry finishing, joint sealing, and cleanup. Placement of roller-compacted concrete on the sourthern half of the emergency spillway splash pad continued after maintenance to the concrete batch plant finished on Sept 10. The splash pad is 83% complete.
