Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, was recently awarded the multimillion replacement of the Fair Lawn (Fifth) Avenue Bridge over the Passaic River in the City of Paterson and Borough of Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

A link between Passaic and Bergen Counties, this community-oriented project will replace the 107-year-old, structurally deficient and functionally obsolete bridge that carries over 9,500 vehicles per day with a wider two-lane, two-way bridge constructed at approximately the same location. The project also includes intersection improvements, new traffic signal equipment, milling and paving, and traffic signing and striping. The superstructure will be designed so that the lowest point of the bridge will be above the 100-year flood elevation.
