On Sept. 15, 2016, more than 200 local water and sewer utilities will host treatment facility tours, educational programs, rain barrel giveaways, and beer tastings as part of the Value of Water Coalition's second annual Imagine a Day Without Water event.
The outreach program was launched to raise public awareness about the need to invest in water infrastructure. To that end, a petition calling for more funding for the nation's aging water infrastructure will also be presented to elected officials and candidates.
