Comprised of concrete blocks embedded into a high-strength geogrid, Flexamat is ideal for stabilizing channels, banks, inlets and outlets, and shorelines by allowing vegetation to grow. Weighing 10 lbs per square foot, Flexamat serves as its own anchoring system. The material is packaged in rolls for efficient staging and installation, which requires standard construction equipment. Un-vegetated, Flexamat has an allowable shear stress of 24-plus per sq ft, and allowable velocity of 19-plus ft per sec.
