LONG BEACH, Calif. — SCS Engineers, an environmental engineering and contracting firm, was chosen by Overland, Pacific & Cutler, Inc., a nationwide land and right-of-way acquisition and relocation firm, to provide hazardous materials consulting services in support of the Gerald Desmond Bridge replacement project for the Port of Long Beach, Long Beach, California.

SCS Engineers’ services will include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments on properties within the proposed bridge replacement area, soil testing for potential contaminants, and related environmental consulting services.

The contract will be led by SCS Project Director Kevin Green and Project Manager Ashley Hutchens. Mr. Green and Ms. Hutchens have directed many similar projects in California related to hazardous materials management and remediation.
